Cooperation in the field of metrology and standardization
International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) OIML)
In the field of legal metrology, VNIIM actively participates in the work of technical committees and subcommittees of the OIML. VNIIM specialists chair the secretariats of eight subcommittees and one committee of the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML):
- ТК3/ПК3 Standard samples;
- ТК7/ПК1 Length measuring equipment;
- ТК9/ПК4 Density measurements;
- ТК11/ПК1 Resistance thermometers;
- ТК11/ПК3 Radiation thermometers;
- ТК17 Средства измерений в области физико-химии;
- ТК17/ПК2 Saccharimetry;
- ТК17/ПК4 Conductometry;
- ТК17/ПК5 Viscometry;
- ТК17/ПК6 Gas analysis.
VNIIM specialists also regularly participate in the Russian delegation to meetings of the International Committee on Legal Metrology(МКЗМ, CIML)
VNIIM also participates in the work of five Technical Committees (ТК) International Organization for Standardization (ИСО, ISO):
- ISO/TC1 (Screw threads);
- ISO/TC12 (Quantities and units);
- ISO/TC48 (Laboratory equipment);
- ISO/TC158 (Gas analysis);
- ISO/TC 212 (Medical laboratories and in vitro diagnostic systems).
VNIIM specialists lead four working groups of the Scientific and Technical Commission of the Moscow City Council on Metrology (НТКМетр):
- Working Group on Fundamental Documents in the Field of Metrology (РГ ОДМ НТКМетр);
- Working Group on Standard Materials of Composition and Properties of Substances and Materials of the Scientific and Technical Commission on Metrology (РГ СО НТКМетр);
- Working Group on Interlaboratory Comparisons (Interlaboratory Comparisons) (РГ МСИ НТКМетр);
- Working Group on Non-Destructive Testing НТКМетр (РГ НК НТКМетр).
VNIIM cooperates or has plans to cooperate within the framework of memoranda signed by Rosstandart, as well as other intergovernmental agreements of the Russian Federation with NMIs of China, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Iran, Mozambique, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, and Morocco.
