  • The standard is based on a method of reproducing angular velocity using a controlled precision electric drive, monitored by a special precision measuring system.

The operation of the standard is ensured by a set of measuring instruments included in its composition:

  • Installation for reproducing small angular velocities in the range from 5·10-8 to 2.5·10-4 rad/s;
  • A low-speed installation that reproduces a unit of angular velocity (rotational speed) in the range 0,01 - 15 rad/s;
  • A high-speed installation that reproduces a unit of angular velocity (rotational speed) in the range 10 – 60 000 rad/s;
  • A set of equipment for transferring a unit from a standard to measuring instruments
