ГЭТ 47-79 (НИО 251)

Standard name:

  • ГЭТ 47-79 State primary special standard of the unit of length for spectroscopy (next – ГЭТ 47-79)

Type of measurement:

  • Measurements of geometric quantities.

Structural division: name НИО\НИЛ:

  • Research Department of Geometric Measurements.

Guardian Scientist:

  • Deputy Curator Sizov Alexander Leonidovich.

Year of creation:

  • 1973

Year of re-confirmation:

  • 1979

Operating principle:

  • ГЭТ 47-79 is based on the method of reproducing a unit of length using a radiation source – a gas-discharge lamp with the isotope krypton-86.

    The transfer of the unit of length is carried out using a Fabry-Perot type spectrointerferometer with a measurement range from 0.186 to 4 µm.

Composition of the standard:

  • Gas discharge lamp with krypton-86 isotope;
  • Fabry-Perot type spectrointerferometer, plant no. 02;
  • Recording equipment.

Verification diagram:

  • ГЭТ 47-79 does not have a separate verification scheme, it is used to transmit a unit of length in accordance with Part 1 of the State Verification Scheme for length measuring instruments in the range from 1 10^-9 to 100 m and wavelengths in the range from 0.2 to 50 µm, approved by Order of Rosstandart dated 29.12.2018 No. 2840.

Scope of application:

Instrument making and precision engineering; electronic, space and defense technologies.

Results of applying the standard:

ГЭТ 47 ensures the reproduction of a unit of length in the visible spectrum at a wavelength of 605.78021 nm with an unexcluded systematic error of 5∙10-10 and a standard deviation of 4∙10-9.

The total number of measuring instruments traceable to ГЭТ 47-79:

Thousands.

Ensuring the uniformity of measurements, participation in the CIPM MRA program:

No comparisons were conducted.

Unique technical installations as part of the standard:

ГЭТ 47-79 developed by employees of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "VNIIM named after D.I. Mendeleev".
